Neil Goldberg

This piece was originally going to be about the language people used when I asked them to describe their ride on Coney Island's Cyclone rollercoaster. Once I began shooting, I realized I was much more interested in their gestures. I love big unison dance numbers, where you get to watch the same movement repeat itself on a bunch of different bodies. This feels like such a number, only with the participants performing the movement in sequence rather than all at once.
