For this series, I traveled around New York City taking photos through the lenses of passing strangers’ eyeglasses. I love the distorted, semi-abstract picture-in-a-picture perspective it gives of the surroundings that the person and I are both sharing. I’m also always curious about the strength of other people’s prescriptions.

This project is the subject of a book published in 2019 by Esopus Editions and distributed by DAP with an introduction by Pulitzer Prize winning author Louis Menand.
